Tests for OncologyA medical specialty focusing on the diagnosis and management of neoplastic diseases, particularly cancer. LSUHSC-S and the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center at the offers continuing learning and training opportunities in oncology. The Oncology Fellowship Program is one of the largest in the southeast United States with fifteen fellows. It is a three-year program. Training is also offered for medical residents. Molecular pathology testing in this specialty area is extensive including, but not limited to, tests for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic monitoring in neoplastic diseases. |
