Tests for Bone Marrow Transplants

We provide custom consultations focused on the study, diagnosis and treatment of the blood, blood-forming tissues, disorders affecting them, cancerous and non-cancerous tumors.

The Feist-Weiller Cancer Center has expanded its bone marrow transplant program with additional faculty members, new clinics and new research approaches. It is currently the only center performing both autologous and allogeneic transplants in the state. FWCC is a major center for the treatment of acute leukemia and aggressive lymphoma, refractory malignancies and offers new and novel treatments for hematological malignancies. Approximately 160 new acute leukemia cases are seen each year in Louisiana.

Molecular pathology testing in this specialty area is extensive including, but not limited to, tests for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic monitoring in hematologic disease pre- and post-transplant.
